A672 weld chemistry

As per A672 specification, weld deposit shall match WPS chemistry.
Does this mean that chemical composition of weld metal of 672 shall match "A" of its applicable WPS which is chemical composition.
For example for A672 C70 CL 12 pipe, weld chemistry matching to A number 1

Is my above interpretation is correct? ?

If the WPS was qualified with an A-1 analysis filler metal, yes. But qualification with only an A-1 analysis is not required.
