Hi. As an academic research I want to model an offshore jacket platform in ABAQUS. I don't know which element to use for modeling legs, braces, ... . I want to check for buckling in all elements during analyses.
(I don't want to model connection details. All connections are of fixed types)
1- Is "BEAM" appropriate for this purpose?
2- I've heard of "FRAME" elements. How about this?
