i have a sheetmetal part which has a bend that i need to unbend. When i use the unfold command it tells me that i have a part with features that cannot be unbent. Specifically the bend that i want to unbend. Does anyone know why this is happening and what the solution is?

Yes, I know. But, post a picture for those with lesser powers than mine.

TheTick. Will you tell me what the problem is with the bend?

My crystal ball is at the cleaners and I am not blessed with TheTick's super powers. I'm more psychotic than psychic.

We need to know what features are involved to know what might be preventing the unfold function.

Use the ...or upload your file to ENGINEERING.com link below to post an image of the part, or the part itself.

Like CBL stated, we need to see your features and how they are laid out to give any feedback on how to possibly fix it. There are a number of issues that can cause this and without seeing the part and possibly the feature tree it's impossible to determine what caused it.

Ditto to the above. Or, at a minimum, make sure all extrudes are clicked as normal, and check for any overlap or interference where flanges meet.

Thanks everybody for your input. i figured it out. i had an interference where the flanges met. i had back way up in the model to fix it, but i got it done.
