7,000 lb Disc Lifting clamp

Hi I'm looking for assistance in calculating stresses on a lifting clamp.

Disc dimensions: 6 foot diameter, 6 inch thick
Clamp dimensions: 6"x1/2" rolled to disc OD (two halves)
Clamp bolts: six 7/8" bolts (3 per side)

I attached a picture for clarity.

So far, I have calculated hoop stress, shear stress on the bolts, and shear on the welds. Ideally I would run this in FEA but I don't have that luxury so I'm wondering if I am missing anything.

The bolts look to be in tension more than shear. The ring will try to distort where the lifting lugs are, I don't know how much clearance you have allowed. If you are starting with the disk horizontal you will introduce moments that try to twist the clamp.
