Hi,

I have a 6inch rtrp line thtat i have to design the rout for it. how i can design the bend for horizontal or vertical direction chande change.

The manufacturer should give you the allowable bending radius or if jointed, the allowable deflection at each joint.

For example Viking Johnson couplings are allowed 1 or 2 degrees at a joint (depending on size), so depending on the pipe length you can draw out the profile.

The degree change quoted will be the total change allowed. You have to combine the vertical and horizontal angle changes at each point to obtain the combined change. (not arithmetically). Or use only horizontal or vertical change of direction at any one joint.

In addition to the bend radius for the pipe, keep in mind that socket (adhesive bonded) joints are weaker in bending as the adhesive is put into a peel condition.
