i am confused in understanding the principle of 630 series regulators and relief valves of emerson please if any body explain me. i got project on this i have too design the valve so before going to this explain me please ..

The 630 regulators act with a force balance principle with the downstream pressure exerting a pressure on a diaphragm.

The relief valve version acts as a back pressure regulator in similar fashion:
