I am having a heck of a time trying to find a 6-character tall alphanumeric LCD display. It seems like they are all either 4 characters tall or much larger than that. Does anyone know of a non-custom one or where I might begin to look? I've tried digikey and several other catalogues.

You might be forced to use a dot matrix display and make-up your own character set and all the software overhead that goes along with that approach.

Interesting ideas. I only need one or else I would consider the custom design. I like the dot matrix graphic display idea, I think I'll go with that. Thanks!

Can you use a 40 x 4 and get the info out in two columns?

Otherwise go with a graphic LCD and make the lines whatever size you want. This will often take more CPU resources though.
