5-axis CNC where A & B axis are not intersecting?

When programming 5 axis CAM, say using conventional 5 axis machines (X Y Z A B) with a trunion table. If A, B and spindle Z axis are not intersecting, is there normally correction for this in the g-code? Do most CAM assume the axis are intersecting?
