I am trying to create a 3d seal representation wrapping around a 3d seal flange for a door aperture. I would like the part to be solid, but am unable to crete it with rib, and there seems to be no sweep function as in V4 how can I do it. flange is 3d seal profile is 2d sketch?

Loft (or Multi-Sections Solid).

Why can't you use a rib?

Rib seems to want two sketch'd components therefore the 3d flange is non selectable

This is the same case for lofts where the base edge I wish to sweep the solid around is non planar.

I am sure there must be a way to do it as they could on V4, am sure I have just missed a funtion / option somewhere.

Rib definately doesn't require the profile to be planar or sketched (unless you are in some licence configuration I am unaware of)...

You are 100% correct.

It was due to the fact that the profile had a gap in it. Have almost got it sorted. Be perfect for an easy start tomorrow morning.

Thanks very much for your assistance.
