Hi,

I'm trying to create a shaded 3D view in a drawing that has the cross section displayed. Similiar to how cross sections are show in assembly mode when you diplaye them. I've read the online help, and it describes how you have to create a 3D cross section in model mode, but I can't find any way of making a 3D cross section in model mode.

Has anyone else ever don this? Is it possible to have a 3D shaded view in drawing mode that looks like it's been cut in half using a cross section?

I'm using Wildfire 5.0. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create a cross section using the "Offset" mode. You can
then "Exclude" components that you do not wish to cut.

if this is what you want
in model create a cross section > new > zone
in drawing view > sections > 3D section.

another way:
Make a cut in your model to show section. Then put that in seperate simplified representation.Place view of that simplified representation on drawing.
