Ladies and gentlemen,
I'm looking for some advice. I'll soon be in the market for a new PC for some freelance work I will be doing.
I will be 3D modelling mostly in Solidworks 2009
(with some architechtural stuff in AutoCAD) and rendering in photoworks with more advanced output from Alias Maya. I also need to run the standard Adobe 2D software. At my day job I use Unigraphics NX6, so there might also be a need to run an offsite licsence for this to run on the PC too. Presumably any PC that will cope with SW2009 will be equally suitable for NX?
Basically I am looking for some guidance on the spec of the PC. I'm a bit out of touch with PC (my last home PC was bought in 2000!) I have a budget of around £1,000 and am looking for something that will keep me going for a while.
Any guidance you can offer would be great, I am a little dense when it comes to computers.
Thanks in advance!
