Could someone please explain the uses for 45 degree fittings? I am selecting fittings for automotive fuel injection hoses. It appears that 37 degree are more common, especially since AN fittings seem to be used a lot. I realize that 37 degree fittings are meant for high pressure hydraulic lines. However, there are a number of similar 45 degree fittings and I am not sure where they are supposed to be used.

Thanks

The 45° flare is used extensively in nonhydraulic automotive, refrigerant, and marine systems.
