we are currently reviewing a school gymnasium which has interior 4" concrete block veneer walls. Each wall is 84' long and 30' high. The walls have no reinforcing and are not tied back. The back up condition varies from full height conrete walls, to owsj/concrete floors/roof to concrete columns & beams. In all cases the veneer rests on the floor slab and continues full height to the roof level. The walls have already experienced extensive cracking due to settlement. Anybody have any opinions on seismic retrofit of these veneer walls.
