I'm a new product development engineer and I'm currently working on a pumping system and I'm being required to meet a specification stated:
'Valves, a plug and a check, shall have ports designed to pass spherical solids equal to the pumps capability.'
The pumping system is a lift station containing two identical pumps either a set of 4" or 6" self-priming sewage pumps and each of the said pumps are designed to pass a 3" spherical solids.
My question is; Are there any valve manufactures that provide such a product?
I've been trying to pursue DeZurik but haven't got much assistance from my local DeZurik rep. And DeZurik doesn't have to be the source as long as the valve meets the above spec. I'd appreciate any insight.
Thanks
