Can plate Sa-516 Gr70 withstand 3PWHT cycles ( on other word will it pass ? )

Plate thickness : 14 mm
What about the simulation applied also for pipes - 106Gr B and flanges 105 ?

Yes, for plate and stated materials.

It is weird . I ask the plate supplier to do 3 cycles they said we cannot guarantee to you that it will pass . we will do it only for two cycles !

This is a requirement from client !

Can stockist do the test or it has to be from mill ? Also How I know theoretically that a certain material would probably withstand n number of cycles ?

Thanks

Look at the actual strength stated on the MTR, depending on how far above the minimum required is your margin. For each PWHT cycle the strength can degrade slightly.

Is it possible to purchase the material and do the test in third party lab? Or the mill has to do the test?

Yes, you can have materials certified by a 3rd party; the trouble being if it fails, you now own a lot of material that doesn't meet your requirement.

Yes , thats my concern!!

If you cannot go to mill for small quantity then what is the best to do?

Stockists often perform such tests when orders are not large enough for a mill run purchase.
