3 phase separators design / open foam software

Is there any cases in a 3 phase separator design that can have a boot and a weir at the same time ? If yes, what are the criteria for it ?

Also, can open foam software be used to design all the liquid levels, diameter and length of vessel, and nozzle sizing for the vessel?
