3 degree statically indeterminate beam

Hello all,

I want to solve a 3 degree statically indeterminate beam (3 pins).The method that I need to follow is the force method + virtual method?
Is there any shorter way to calculate the reaction in that beam?

If you can plovide me any link or example it will be useful!

Students are not allowed, but try the 3 moment theorem for continuous beams.

The textbook for the class should have examples of the Force Method. It should also have example of deflections calculated using Virtual Work. It will be a mess with three redundants.

You would be better off with a stiffness approach. Moment distribution, direct stiffness method, slope-deflection, etc.
