Can repair be within 2" of existing repair, or how many are allowed and the distance between?

What code, what material?

Details, details, detaiils.

Best regards - Al

Assuming D1.1, then refer to section 5.26. No specific limitations on the number of repairs. But 5.26.3 Engineer's Approval, will always be a tough one. Good practice would be to qualify the number of repairs (N) first to ensure the weld quality after the N times of repair is acceptable.
