I am trying to plot ANSI C (17x22) dwgs to a Xerox 8830 and am finding that even when I use the center plot function in ACAD and the preview looks correct, that the plot will have slightly different margains left-right, top-bottom. Plotting the same dwg on our HP plotters it is perfectly centered.

We have had the Xerox calibrated and larger dwgs will print much closer to center.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Andy

Is the Xerox using a controller or software to print?

The Xerox has a built in controller and I am using the suppied window driver to print from ACAD direct to plotter.

It may be centered on the "printable area" which may have different white space on the four sides. Is this it? Try plotting a vertical line to fit and a horizontal line to fit (2 separate drawings) to find the unprintable widths.

Have you tried having AutoCAD drivers control the printing instead of the Windows drivers?
