Some people are like slinkies....they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

For NX 3.0

<&70><+><&2><+>0.5<+><&80><+>A<+><&90>

The <&80> starts the next row. The <+> are the separators.
<&70> Starts the symbol, <&90> ends it.

Seems Justin beat me to it and probably knows what that <&2> symbol is, I've attached an image that goes over some of the text symbol definitions in the annotation editor.

If you can edit it with the annotation editor it should display with symbols like <+> for the separators between datum call outs and tolerance types as well. The GD&T tolerance symbol for next frame in annotation editor is <&80> as start with a <&70> and end with a <&90>

<&70><+>Line 1<+>$t .05<+><&80><+>Line 2<+><&90>
Line 1|± .05
Line 2

The image shown below is part of a larger pdf and drawing file I created on UG NX2 from a v18 file I condensed it a bit here.

A simpler way is to just use the options in the annotation editor under GD&T Symbols. The first pick is the box in the first column, second row. When you complete your first line, pick the box in the first column, fourth row to continue the second line.

Nice list Michael. That'll come in handy for me.

I've found it easier for me to know the switches than to poke around the menu tabs. Just quicker for me to type it out, it seems anyways.

Thank you.

Good Morning mbozich,

This may be a simplistic approach, but here's what I do and it works just fine...

<&70><+><&10><+><O>.015<M><+>A<+>B<+>C<+><&90>

change the 9 to an 8, so the string looks like this:

<&70><+><&10><+><O>.015<M><+>A<+>B<+>C<+><&80>

then move the cursor to the end of the string(to the right of the <&80>)and hit enter,
then use "Begin Single Frame" to start the next frame. If you have the preview function turned on in the annotation editor, you will see the new frame appear, attached to the existing frame. Continue to build the second frame as you normally would.

The finished statement looks like this:

<&70><+><&10><+><O>.015<M><+>A<+>B<+>C<+><&80>
<&70><+><&8><+>.005<+>A<+><&90>

Good Luck,

'ziner
