1965 ASME Section VIII Stress Tables

I am re-rating a vessel built in 1967, that used some form of the 1965 stress values for the material (not sure the edition, assuming latest in that code year). Per NBIC, since the vessel is pre-1968, I'll need to use the original code of construction stress values. The materials I'm looking for are the following (each at 300°F):
SA-515 Gr. 70
SA-240 Type: 304L
SA-285 Gr. C

Are you re-rating based on allowable stress values or thinned material?

We need to perform calcs based on the original allowable stress values to determine the current required thickness. I have the data report, which tells the original thickness and the current UT report that gives a more up-to-date reading of what is left.

I know that the National Board in Columbus,OH has access to earlier ASME code book editions, so I would check with them.

I am surprised that SA-515 was used prior to 1968. I was under the impression it was not in existence until the 1968 edition. Perhaps some Code Case was used for that one. Being a 70 ksi tensile material, and given that design margins did not change during the time period involved, I'd expect that the allowable stress up to 650°F would be 17,500 psi.

I don't have a 1965 edition readily available. However, looking at a scanned version of 1962 Section VIII, I see the following:
SA-285 Grade C: 55 ksi tensile material with a corresponding 13750 psi allowable stress up to 650°F. So that stress value is consistent thru the time you're looking at. [No, SA515 and 516 are not listed.]

Unfortunately, I've only scanned thru UCS and thus don't have data for the SA-240 304L handy. I can get to it when I return to the office. Not sure, but we might have a 1965 edition in our library.

I do not see SA-515 in my 1965 Edition of the Code.
