Somehow we got 14tpi studs for out heat exchanger floating heads instead of 16tpi. Can anyone think of a critical reason why I can't use the 14tpi? I realize that torque will not be as accurate, but what am I missing?

What diameter studs are we talking about? The difference should not be a big factor, but how much so will depend somewhat on the diameter of the studs.
