Hello all. Just need someone who has the full ASME BPVC to help me out with some material info. Could you tell me what the Maximum allowable Stress Value (Sm) for 15-5PH stainless bar (S15500 (XM-12)) is? I do not have this part of the spec and just want to compare this material to another. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Bar SA-564 XM-12 S15500, Min. Tensile 795 MPa, Yield 515 MPa, but there is a long list of higher tensile and yield strenght up to Min. Tensile 1310 MPa and Min Yield of 1170 MPa, depending on the heat treatment. These are values from ASME II, Part D, Table Y-1. There are restrictive notes 3 and 5, regarding the application of this material in ASME VIII Div 3.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
