What do you mean by "2 different directions"? Would that be from East and West, or from high-to-low and low-to-high, or some other version of different directions?

There are transformers available in a "loop feed" configuration for just that purpose.

Generally even with loop feed bushings you will keep one feed parked for future use. Otherwise, a fault on one feed will clear both and there is no advantage to having two.

Many distribution circuits can be fed from more than one direction, but it takes operating a switch (or moving a cable from a parking stand) to change the feed. The problem is to find the faulted section before switching. It's much harder to do on underground circuits, although the public seems to believe the underground is more reliable (another myth).

Now if you are asking about enhanced power service, it will typically cost you more. But it won't mean you won't have any outages, just fewer, and shorter outages.

Might also be worth mentioning, in light of some ambiguity in your description, that if you meant that H1 and H2 of your pad mount transformer primary would be fed from the same phase, the direction from which those cables originated would be a moot point!
