Hi all,

Has anyone designed a monorail that is connected to a cross brace? If so how did you go about the connection details? I am debating using an angle welded to the top of my monorail and then welding the flanges of the angle to the brace. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Please see attached for photo reference.

Probably not a really good idea. Can you move it over to avoid the brace, and put in a small post? else, can you locate a small post at the x-brace? It also likely voids nay PEMB warranty.

Agreed, not a good idea. I would design the monorail such that it does not need to rely on that brace.

The brace is directly above the pump that we are removing. The addition of a post is not feasible unfortunately.
