    Thanks guys, when I worked in a compound development lab (many moons ago) we waited 24hours from mixing to moulding/extrusion (all moulding was compression). In production they used material after 48hours, once the material has completely cooled I couldn't think of a good reason for waiting...

    big bubble in epdm extrusion

    Solange, Is there anything inside the bubble? I had a similar problem and on cutting open the bubble/blister something resembling a large brown grain of sand was sat in the hole. My lab informed me it was the desiccant we used that was either poorly dispersed or ineffective. Elastomatt.
