Hi, I wanted to know what is the difference between H8 and H7 in tolerances. when shall we use H7 and when H8?

The normals of target and contact elements shall be toward each other and not away from each other. you can reverse normal using contact manager.

you can not apply remote force in a cylindrical coordinate system as force is a vector and its components can only be specified in Cartesian coordinate system. you can apply torque if you want to apply force in cylindrical coordinate system.

Yes, I have encountered to such problem in solidworks, solidworks has an option "tessellation" that is you decrease it then you will see the curves like a polygon and it's something only graphically you see but in reality it is a curve and when you mesh it in an FE software you see that it is a...
there is an option in ansys parametric study where you can check it, then ansys exports every parameter analysis to a separate ansys workbench file, then you can check there if the parameters are transferred correctly or not.

I know that in solidworks it is possible to directly export solid works model to ansys workbench, I think there should be such a possiblity in inventor also. I have not encountered any problem in importing models from solidworks to ansys.

In ansys design modeler you can use ruler for measurements, also you can select midpoint in constraints menu when sketching in design modeler, first select the point and then the line to put the point on the midpoint of line. It is also possible to select nodes and elements in ansys mechanical...
There is no way to copy mesh from one model to other except that you duplicate the mesh sizing and method of one model and then change the SCOPING GEOMETRY to the new geometry. Writing a command snippet is possible but you'd better spend some time and do the meshing as you only need to perform...
You need to only draw a section of your model and turn on plane strain using plane42. Plane strain is used for modeling long models in one diemnsion where starin can be ignored.

I think that you have to change the pinball region of your contact to at least the minimum distance of the two bodies so that contact can be detected.

when you include drucker prager in your model, it takes in to account cracks generated in the model, try incrementing load slower and defining a displacement convergence of 5 % ,also playing with material parameter cohesion and changing it may help to converge better.

Element coordinate system is the coordinate system on which material properties are projected. For solid elements the default element coordinate system is the global coordinate system but for shell elements the default element coordinate system has z direction normal to the surface and the two...
Yes, you can apply once 30 psi pressure in the tire and put it on a flat surface and record the deformation and once again apply for example 10 psi and check the deformation contour. compare the two contours then you can define a criteria to check if the air in the tire is lost or not...
I save ansys workbench report preview in Microsoft word but as I copy the word file and paste it for example in another computer the images in the report disappear. It seams there is a connection between images in the ansys report and ansys workbench files. I need to know how can I cut this...
how can i put friction in a translational joint in rigid dynamics analysis of ansys workbench .

I have a hydraulic circuit and a pnematic circuit. In one point I want to link these two circuits together and transfer the pressure at that point in the hydraulic circuit to the pneumatic circuit.
I know that there exists two-connection accumulators and also hydropneumatic transfer actuators...
I am using automation studio 5.2 and it does'nt have any accumulator tool with two connections in its libraries. only there are accumlators with one connection.
Is there any shuch accumulators in automation studio? if yes how can I add that to the library?

you can use section to select different surfaces and using probe tool you can get the temperature on that section. also you can export results to mechanical apdl and get a list of temperatues of different nodes in the model. you can get a list of nodes according to their coordinates...
