Thanks for the responses.
As far as maintainability, the technicians would need to be trained to deal with a pressurized system vs a traditional open reservoir. It does make field service a little more difficult.
These type of devices are not intended to behave the same as a traditional...
Hello All,
I have an application wherein we are considering using a variable volume reservoir (http://www.sobacor.ca/VVR_English.pdf) to replace a conventional reservoir. Our customer has pressed us on weight and consequently fluid volume which lead us to find the above linked product.
The...
Thanks for all the help. I contacted one of our vendors and they were able to provide these values. The table that we received from them show a value of 0.1354 W/mK at 0° C and 0.1248 W/mK at 145° C. It's very linear between those two points.
Hello All,
I have been trying to find a value for the thermal conductivity of ATF, specifically Dexron III, with no success. Can anyone help or point to a source for this information?
Many thanks
Hi there,
To be honest, pressing those two together with 0.016" interference seems excessive to me. You will end with severe galling on the interfering surfaces. Also, judging by the location of the locking shoulders, they will not move very much when pressure is applied as you have the...
Hey all,
We are looking to purchase some CAM software at my workplace. We use solidworks 2007 sp5.1 as our design tool and are bringing some of our manufacturing in house. We've had demos from both Gibbs and MasterCAM. My initial impression is that there is more added value in the base...
Shaggy,
TO answer your question; yes. All of the inported surfaces are contained within their own individual parts. We did manage to fix the issue by turning off the auto space function. It looks like the auto space funtion was attempting to do what you described above.
Thanks
Hi all,
We are haveing some trouble exploding an assembly in SW 2007. The assembly consists of a mix of imported surfaces and solid parts. We have no problem exploding the solid parts, the problem lies in trying to explode the imported surfaces. They just do not want to move. We have...
Problem Solved. Thanks for the help.
I had to remove a lingering Asus display driver that was only being recognized by SW. Windows was only seeing the FX 4500 and it's driver but SW was latched to this Asus driver.
Anyway, uninstalled the conflicting driver and all is well :)
Thanks again...
K, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers I downloaded from the SW website for the Quadro FX 4500. No luck, same issue. I also downloaded the most recent driver from NVidia's website and for the GPU and came up wit the same result.
Oh yeah, SW is open with no files loaded and...
Hi There,
I'm having a problem turning off the software open GL in SW 2006. I recently installed a Quadro FX 4500 and in am running a certified driver but still cannot turn off the Software open GL. In the tools pulldown under options, the "Use Software Open GL" box is check and greyed out...
I agree with pietje. The chances of loosing all of your data due to one HD failure is doubled. Be sure to back up to an external source frequently. Alternatively, if your MOBO will support, throw one more high speed HD in and make a RAID 5. This, at least gives you some fault tolerance and...
Hi There,
You mentioned the use od a RAID 0. I run this set up at home currently. When it's running it is very fast to access data and to write, however given it's name, it is not a true redundant device. Because you run one striped pair of hard disks, half of your data is on one disk and...
If you just use the hole wizard to add a feature into an assembly, you are merely adding it at the assembly level. To re-iterate, you must select the part to edit and turn on the "Edit Part" function. Or, you can pull down the "Insert" menu, scroll down to "Assembly Features" and from there...
Hi All,
I have a small dilema. Right now I am considering purchasing a graphics card for running Solidworks 2007 SP 2.2. The candidates are a Quadro FX 4500 or a 4600. My current system is a socket 939 with an AMD Opteron 185 2.6 GHz dual core processor, Win XP X64 and 4 gigs ram.
Right now...
