I would like to know the Role of the Mounts in NVH. I do understand them as the members, which isolates two systems from being coupled. Other then this what are the NVH criteria’s which drive the mount stiffness tuning? Please explain..

Coming back to the Mode chart, within the subsystem it self do we need to have pure specific mode shapes at a perticular frequency level or does not matter?

Does that mean the orders of the engine are assoiciated witht the idle firing speed (only) of the engine to decide on subsystem's resonance frequencies?

Thank you for the answer. I am not very clear on the orders of the powertrain excitations. Since Engine can run at any rpm in its operating range will excite most of systems resonance frequencies. Second thing until what order of engine excitation I can chek for the resonances?

What about the tactile responses? Is that done in similar way you explained above for the full throttle, light throttle and Idle? What are the most critical and contributing subsystems for the tactile responses and structure borne noise and how they are dealt with?
