Stability and flatness of platic injection molding parts

We have a flat rectangle, 30mm W x 96mm L x 4 mm H that we need to manufacture in high production quantities, ~100k/year that needs to have a flatness on the 30x96 face of 0.005mm. Chemical resistance is not a high requirement. Operating temperatures are in the 25dC +/- 5dC range with a...

    Rounding of Dual Dimension Tols?

@fighterpilot: The reason my company uses them is the projects and parts are always time critical, they never want a part to come in late only because a machine shop tried to convert them from metric to english and someone made a calculation error... sure it's their fault but my company will...

    Rounding of Dual Dimension Tols?

heh, I knew the "Don't Dual Dimension" statements would come to this post and almost asked them not to be said. Sadly, some engineers don't get to make the decisions themselves whether to dual dim or not... no matter how hard they try to convince their superiors. Thanks for the summary of...

    Rounding of Dual Dimension Tols?

If my primary dimensions are in MM and my secondary dimensions are INCHES in dual dimensioning, if I have a tolerance of 0.05mm it shows as 0.001" instead of rounding up to 0.002". Is there a way to fix this?

How Do You Delete Old Versions

Drawing: Z-Clipping and Hide Lines in WF2

Z-Clipping: I've only found the check box in model view parameters that is not flexible at all. What happened to the more flexible version from ProE2001? Hide Lines: In ProE2001 you could Modify a View and select specific geometry lines to hide but I can't find this in WF2. I've tried the...

    INTRALINK 3.3 default user/password?

I'm using XP2 Pro and INTRALINK 3.3 and found that I can set the default user via the user environment variable: INTRALINK_DEFAULT_USER but I haven't been able to get the password to work: INTRALINK_DEFAULT_PASSWORD Is that the correct environment variable or is it no longer working with...

PTCstatus can see FLEXlm but PTCStatus can't? WF2

Hi, I'm trying to install WF2 (M180) on a Win XP Pro system and I've run into something I've never seen before. When I run PTCsetup it says it can't see any FLEXlm licenses at the server/port specified. But, afterwards if I run ptcstatus.bat it shows the server and all available/used licenses...

Shaft materials for Delrin 500 AL bushing

Hi, I'm picking up a design from another engineer. He selected Delrin 500 AL as a bushing material and a medium carbon steel, hardened and then zinc plated for corrosion resistance. Of course, the zinc plating is abrading. I was thinking of switching to a 304 SS for the shaft material but...

    Rolled-back state?

oh, and I didn't find it was a sheet metal part until I tried my own workaround as I detailed above.

    Rolled-back state?

I left it out because I didn't know it was a sheet metal part until I tried the workaround you suggested to no avail. So, is there a KB article on this issue with sheet metal parts?

    Rolled-back state?

That workaround didn't work for me even though I said "Yes" to rolling them forward it would never fix it. I even tried openning in both Lightweight and fully Resolved modes... but what did work for me was to do this: 1) Select the Open icon or File -> Open 2) Check Advanced (also unchecked...
