I am working with Pro-Mechanica and my help menu will not work. I can acess the help menu from the button in the pro-e interface, however I cannot select anything. I scroll the screen, select topics, or do searches. All I can do is open and close the help screen. Anyone run into this problen...
Wow, a 70 second print is a dream for me. LOL However, if you still need to bring the time down, for UNIX there is a config option that greatly reduces print times. In the config file put in "interface_quality 0" This will turn off the complex line check that Pro-E performs for prints...
Does anyine know a way to modify the ptc weld symbols (or copy and adjust) to allow scaling independently for the vertical and horizontal directions? As of now the weld symbols get very long when scaling them up to a point where the text is actually readable. I've checked the standard (82 and...
Another nice function with the restructure command would be the ability to select MULTIPLE COMPONENTS AT ONE TIME. LOL seems like an easy functionality to include with the commmand. I don't know why PTC did not.
Is there a rule that will place the 3D note created with a threaded hole to a layer? As of right now they do not get placed in any layer and they become cumbersome when view large assemblies. I am speaking about the note that is created with all the hole info, such as drill #, thread type (unc...
I don't believe that you can set an exploded state for a specific rep, however on the drawing for each view you can choose to display in the exploded state or otherwise. You can also set a rep view by view (as long the view does not have a parent, children inherit the same view settings).
That...
Thats what I was afraid of. Thanks anyway everyone. It wouldn't be an issue and I'd just reinsert hardware but none of the hole "patterns" were made with "patterns". It seems strange that multiple selection functionality could not be incorporated into the command.
Does anyone know if it is possible to set Pro-E to have the ability to select multiple components with the restructure command. I got a HUGE assy here that needs MAJOR restructuring. Whoever did this assy just put everything in willy nilly with no time spent thinking about how the components...
I would like to see a functionality that would allow you to have different orientations OF THE SAME MODELS in an assembly. What I mean by this, is if you have ONE large assembly installed in different configurations you can have just one model in your assembly and memory. I know that you can...
Here is my issue, I have several brackets (8 to be exact) that are to be fastened with 2 washers, nut, and bolt. I also have these brackets in 6 different orientations in my assy. Basically I need to insert the same hardware 8 x 6 = 48 times. My question is, is there a way to repeat a group...
in addition you can project a curve on a surface and then hatch it. This way you have no extra material (even a small surface) in your model. You can also fill rather than hatch the curve to get a solid type of sketch.
I have run into a similar problem when using WF2. What I found out is that when you edit the position of a component in a "exploded state" you have to activate the exploded state through view manager and "update" the state to actually apply the changes. I know leave it to PTC to require an...
Additionally, for case 3, if you want to show or erase only 1 tan line (not all in a particular view) you can go to View>edge display>from here you can hide/unhide and set fonts ect.
Any help with this issue would be grand. I'm working a job that requires assembly cuts (match drilled holes ect.) not to be modeled in the part. Instead we are to do a external copy geom to get a new part that is linked to the old one. However, when I do an external copy geom I lose the...
Additionally, if the initials are in the format I would suggest creating a parameter in your start part file (Drawn_by) for example. Then you can place a field in your format file referencing that parameter. This way whenever a drawing is started all the drafter must do is set the parameter to...
Thanks for the info. One of my coworkers said basically the same thing. LOL he told me nightmares about trying to make sense of a notebook where the creator no longer worked for the company. From what I gather, they are more work to make than the work they save.
I got a P.O. that requires that no pro-e layouts (notebooks) are to be used in modeling. I'm not sure what that means. Anyone have a clue? Thanx in advance.
Actually, you can put plyies on layers, but the cross-section comes through anyway. It only changes the display on the part. This is after making sure the layers for the part and views were set properly, updated drawing, regen, ect.
LOL having a hell of a time here. Plys cannot be put into layers in composite parts. LOL I thought anything could be put into a layer. It allows other functions within the part to placed in layers, just not the ones that I need.
