    Three phase from single phase

    waross, I am using two channel scope and I am using N as a common point and CH1 connected to xfmr and CH2 after cap( On load resistor ) ------/\/\/\/\ |---||----|CH2 CH1 | | | ------| | \ /...

    Three phase from single phase

ScottyUK...I have spent all day trying to make the Analogue one working as suggested by "waross" No LUCK..has anyone tried this before!!!!!!!! Ok here is what I done... 6V secondary transformer 43VA- a 3.3micro cap + a pot. and a 1M resistor as a load. I cant seem to be able to vary the phase...

    Schweitzer Relay- 51a & 51b

Yes they are , the values for 50P1P=50b=640 50P2P=50a=3840 there is a 50P3P which is not used anywhere( at least i cant find it). So what are these two values ( 51B and 51a) represent. I know that they have defined 50a as Hi set instantanious, what about 50b ?

    Schweitzer Relay- 51a & 51b

Well, I guess there are two settings for instantanious over crrent settings for phase and ground. 50a and 50b. These are settings that customer set their relay at,so it maybe their own designation type. the values are 50a:3840 50b:640 51:640 50Na:3840 50Nb:900 50N:400

    Schweitzer Relay- 51a & 51b

Under relay settings for 50 , I see two settings 50a,50b 50Na and 50Nb, what are these parameters represent?

    Transformer LG

If the main secondary breaker has ground fault protection, do we still have to protect the transformer shifted curve on delta-solidly grounded wye transformer against phase-ground faults which is shifted to the left?

    Three phase from single phase

I need something small. I think I have to go with Warros suggestion. I was under impression that I can get a simple box to do the thrick,it seems most of converters are with motors or unsing power electronics to convert 1-phase to 3-phase!

    Three phase from single phase

Jraef...Yes Thats correct. I thought there must be a commercial unit available by now to do this kind of conversaions..something that you input single phase and you get three phase out. Motor will be too big.I need sth. that I can use in a small box.

    Three phase from single phase

I need this to create low power signal for a controller that I have. So power will be less than 50Va at 6V. Suppose I have a 120/6V transformer 50VA, how can I generate a three phase signal from this XFMR. I beleive power will be divided by three now.

    Three phase from single phase

I am looking for a device to generate three phase signal from a single phase transformer. I appreciate any feedback on this.

    Ac Milliamp current generator

Folks, Does anybody know wehre I can get a device to generate variable milliamp current (AC) between 100-600mamp I am not looking for a fancy device. Just a simple mamp ac current generator. I know I can use voltage and resistor ;however I need it to be controlled via a HMI or PLC.

    Unbalance Current Detection

Bill, Question is that how heat could affect the resistor performance and overall accuracy of the setup?

    Unbalance Current Detection

Guys.. These are all based on voltage sensing concept. slavag : That company doesnt have any sensor. I sourced out BE1-700C it has 46 element.I wish I could find a single element relay out there that does my requirment.

    Unbalance Current Detection

    Thank you. Price is half.

    Unbalance Current Detection

BE3 line doesnt have 46 function. Thats all I am looking for. A relay with 46 function.

    Unbalance Current Detection

Well, Most these units work based on zero sequence current. Here I have three legs of phases which I need to detect the unbalance current. There is no ground. Voltage level is 600V. Unit is an AVC. So three diffent cap banks on each stage, if one stage doesnt provide the required reactive power...
