    Agreed, I have the full version of Robot Millenium and it is a very powerful structural anaylsis and design package. This is free so you can't argue with the price. :)

    I think that you will struggle to find a sub $500 program with the capabilities of TC. I would recommend Vectorworks but that is more expensive at around $1400, but still cheaper (and better) than Autocad. I used to use TC but it just doesn't come up to the mark in a professional environment...

    I use Vectorworks, as capable as Autocad but way, way cheaper and easier to use (or should I say that Autocad is way, way overpriced!). I used to use TurboCAD but gave that up for VW. Most structural offices will use Autocad.
