Hi everyone
We are planning to start up a gas compression plant, and want to purge the vent pipe ( 1600 ft long aprox.), K.O.D and flare stack with raw gas.
The only place to monitor Oxygen concentration is a valve at connection for a manometer on the K.O.D. Could you please provide some...
Hi friends
I want to standarize and improve the run test procedure and others start-up procedures for Natural Gas Reciprocating Compressors after overhaul.
1. I would like to know how many tests are needed without load and with load.( I.e 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes etc. Starts and stops...
Hi friends
Hi friends, I hope everybody is fine here
I have heard , that is a good practice to specify in a reciprocating compressor RFQ, a maximum operating rod load ( RL) that must be lower than the maximun rod load of the rod load specified by the manufacturer in the compressor design.
API...
Hi friends!
What erosional velocity criteria should I use to design a contract (6"x3") if my fluid is Natural Gas?. I know that gas velocity can´t be higher than erosional velocity, but I want to know if there is some criteria about a percent of the erosional velocity.
Just make the job done..Do you want to impress others or to make the information simple, visible, accesible and understandable. ??
Excel, visio, Cad, PVElite etc....Go ahead
Regards
Thank you very much my friends.
Snorgy..Yes, There are check valves installed downstream each scrubber liquid drain, and all the liquids drains of the scrubbers are directed to a closed drain pipe and then to oil production facilities (external). Thank you very much. All the comments are very...
Hi Mover, The compressor is an engine-driven reciprocating compressor, Ariel JGC-6, for natural gas compression of 27 MMSCFD. (Natural Gas booster service).
I would like to know if there is an standard o best practice that state that is mandatory to fill de bottom of the scrubbers in order to...
Hi friends. I hope someone could help. Is a common practice to fill gas reciprocating compresor suction and interstage srubbers with some liquid at the bottom during commissioning and before an initial start up ???
Mr Dcasto Thank you very much. !
Even tough our system is under specification < 7 lbH2O / MMSCFD, We have a historical asphaltenes depositions in our process equipments, and my question to perform a scanning is to have an idea of where the building up is located and focus the maintenance in...
THANKS DCASTO & EMMANUEL
YES, We could plan to perform a scanning before the shutdown. But I woold like to know what could be the best cost-effective technology for this application. Looking to the links provided by Emmanuel, I saw that there is a gamma scanning for that suits very well for...
HELLO FRIENDS
WE ARE PLANNING A TURNAROUND IN ORDER TO PERFORM A MAINTENANCE CLEANING IN THE GAS DEHYDRATION FACILITIES. WE ARE EXPERIENCING A HIGHER DIFFERENCIAL PRESSURE ALONG THE ABSORBERS TOWERS . SO , I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT COULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS TO PERFORM AN IR THERMOGRAPHY SCANNING...
Puedes leer el libro " Gas Turbine Engineering Handbook" de Meherwan Boyce y publicado por la Gulf Publishing Company.
Es un Clasico muy completo.

No, is not Santa Barbara,
The plant that we are operating is a 35 MMSCFD Dew Point Control Plant located at BARE field. 160 km from Santa Barbara.
The plant that produces propane is the JOSE Fractionation Plant.
Dear Mr Dcasto & Mr Montemayor
Thanks for your reply
Im sorry about my bad spelling. Im still learning english. I am in Venezuela
Our supplier is the same that supply natural gas for domestic use. The Venezuelan standards demands the use odorant for domestics porpouse, and we are the only...
Dear friends. We are operating a Natural gas dew point control plant (NGL Plant), with mechanical refrigeration process using 97 % propane without odorant as a refrigeration media
Our propane supplier, stated that they can not sell us propane with odorant anymore, because they need to mix it...
You can look for the MN software from Caterpillar for natural gas engines, if you are working with Cat engines.
Otherwise, you can find a lot of information at the internet with the equations, and make the calculations yourself.
Its easy..Good Luck
