Hello mcgyvr,
Typically I had made the 'outer core' Expanded metal-02, and the 'Inner core' a Galvanised metal.
This was as close as I could get, I was hoping someone might have had a better solution than my own effort
Thanks
Alan
Hello,
I am wondering if there is a any Stainless Steel Braided Hose within the content centre (using Inventor 2008 Pro), or can anyone advise of a method to produce a similar surface. I would like to produce a 3d stainless Steel Braided Hose
Thanks for any help
Alan
Hi David, Sorry I'm late replying to your helpful solution, firstly thanks very much for your endeavours, secondly, I will attempt to produce a TS & S as per you directions, if you still have my email from when I sent the files, I would appreciate a copy of the files showing the TS & S view.
As...
Hello aardvarkdw/David,
Azum's post shows he has been able to access the files that you requested, has accessing the files been a problem for you?, or are you not able to advise/help as to the related problem?
Alan
Hello Azum, yes, my son is with them, but on site at the moment, and he is not impressed with the standard of details in their present drawing batch, (i.e. the fabricator is left to his own devices in how to produce (for instance the vane). I think the drawings have been done by an agency, he...
Hello David, I am wondering if you were able to access my files re this 'Vane dimensioning query', (it is the first time I have posted files), if so, is the vane feature dimensionable?, particularly to show detailing information.
amsmarle
Hello David, Thanks again for your swift response, I have put the files in the Step 3 attachment, I hope I have got it right

Hi David, this 'tipmaster' link shows me some cross referencing info, no sites listed?
Should I use 'pack and go' and then zip the files and send them, (you would need my idw file)?, as this is the problematic issue with detail info.
Please excuse my ignorance in this matter I am new to this...
Hello, (Inventor 2008 pro SP1). (Vista)
I'm still struggling on the dimensioning query above, but have another problem, when I use a parts list in my IDW file and then try to convert it to a dwf... it crashes out of Inventor with (a ++CC runtime error), when I remove the parts list from...

Thanks Ratso, for your welcome advice, I'm waiting for some extra memory to install and see how that helps, but I can't be doing with sitting around waiting 6, 7 or 8 minutes for a model to appear, and then spend another couple of minutes turning off the work planes. I don't really wish to pay...
Once again thanks for the very useful information DesignerMike,
Particularly the Mcadforum link, I have had a look at the icode index link, and have it loaded into Inventor, but not yet sure how to use it. I have learnt (of late) by experience to build the model using sub assemblies, to be able...
Thanks for the response Designer Mike,
1) Apart from the size of model in terms of MB, how would I determine the number of parts in any assembly (in BOM it tells me item quantities)
2) I'm going to add some more ram as you suggest
3) I have installed my work on a clients PC which had an Autodesk...

I have sorted out most problems now, except for the nuisance work points, having to turn them off individually, also any tutorials that anyone may know of re Tube & Pipe

amsmarle
Hello, I'm using Inv 8 pro, and I set up tube & pipe for producing handrailing (33.4x 26mm, Tube & bends, rad 116mm default, & steel welded pipe), I have a few questions about some problems I'm having,
1) How can I set up and produce a pipe run without the couplings, i.e show only tube &...
