12 ach isn't enough for isolation rooms ..... min 15 ach ..... and w/ 150 cfm differential ...... sealed walls/windows ..... and door w/ tight gasket
as far as insulting ...... the way you can across .... ok mr cme ..... that doesn't sound professional at all
you can get up to 130 degf disharge temp w/ gas heat
use a down and dirty cost-wise system ...... packaged rooftop unit, constant volume with programmable stat
vav can be used in administration and kitchen
patient rooms are typically fan coil units with a dedicated makeup air unit for osa ventilation
treatment is cv reheat
pressure differential is established via the difference between supply and return/exhaust ...... 75 cfm in most cases
calculate the pressure from the static height of the highest point to the expansion tank then add 3 psi
you should also be pumping away from the boilers
the expansion tank is connected to the suction side of the pump via the air separator (rolairtrol)
b&g has a program to calculate expansion...
atlas,
all new healthcare projects are cv reheat ..... vav boxes set to constant cfm
with vav you cannot maintain pressure relationships
better think thru that again
large healthcare is the vast majority of my work
in a nutshell:
all systems are constant volume reheat
no duct liner
solid double wall units
ducted returns
75 cfm differential for + and - spaces ..... use aia guidelines to determine what room requires
some states have their own guidelines ..... like florida
Is actual commissioning of fire, F/S and smoke dampers involve whether they close w/o binding or is it just installation checks such as for sleeve clearance, breakaway connections, access doors, etc?
is there a volume damper in the neck?
if so move it to the takeoff and use max 5' flex duct installed non-kinked ..... i spec buckley atmd w/ extended neck option
what application is the location ..... hard room surfaces? ..... office environment?
this post assumes similar noise levels w/...
inlet guide vanes are 80's technology
vfd's will help with fan acoustics also
drives are so cheap these days compared to say 10 years ago
does the unit have final filters?
what position are the vanes in now at full load cooling and dirty filters?
