Let's say I have a metal enclosure and I have power cables some high power (200A) some high voltage (1500v)
I'm specifying everything be VW1 and sizing the conductors to be below our temp rise spec
Is UL listed marks still needed or overkill?
Any guidance or ideas are greatly appreciated...
I know we all have been begging PTC to create some sort of 3D BOM ballooning that is linked to the assembly structure, but dont know if its every going to come
What are some strategies you all have done that are easy to do and not impossible to maintain?
I have done the manual ballooning in 3d...
Any Code or Safety engineer interpretations here would be greatly appreciated
I am working on a piece of machinery which is all low voltage DC and low pressure (below 100psi)
The safety guy is not signing off on our design because they claim its dangerous because in certain cases and operator...
I dont think its possible, but is there a way to have a sketch in a model linked to a section that is released in windchill?

It works ok in Creo, occassionally when I switch pages the views will change layers and show or hide stuff I want to see, then the combined state has a + next to it showing its somehow...

Sometimes when I switch from LAN to Wifi my computer will lose the intralink license for Creo

We recently upgraded to Creo 6 and I have been having issues lately with parts that are coming into my workspace
When I add a part from Windchill, and open it, Creo immediately tells me that I have modified the part and I need to check it out, even though I have done absolutely nothing to the...
Does anyone have any resources for someone trying to learn cabling? (please dont point me to PTC's paywall training, I know its there)

Hello,
I am trying to put together a welded frame that uses many parts from a few structural sections, like a C channel, a square tube et cetera
I know Catia can do design tables and I have set up my parts with multiple lengths and part numbers in the design table
BUT, now how do I leverage...

I work for a small company and in the past most of the engineering work was outsourced to supplement my teams "capacity"
as such we had a consultant early on laying the foundation, part of his influence on the board is part numbers.
He belongs to the intelligent part numbering community and...

Question for you all with probably way more experience than I.
We are getting a structural frame (steel tube) built for us by a Canadian firm, as it is for occupancy here in the USA we are required to meet US Codes and standards so AWS
Looking at both Codes it seems like CWB has a more...
