    pumps with different kw rating

    l have 2 pumps one is 2.2 kw and another 5.5 kw. l have 2 questions regarding these. 1. The higher the kw rating doesnt imply higher flowrate, as one with 2.2kw has a higher capacity than the one with 5.5kw? 2.     clogged suction or discharge pump linr

    Say l have a clogged discharge line, the pump current drawn by a pump should not drop; just as starting a pump with discharge valve closed (0 flow). Also a clogged suction line shouldnt result in less current drawn since flow is low. l am confused as to how both cause increased current drawn?

    Screw pump

    Attached is a screw pump with a motor coupled on the side. The pump shows the direction it should run,but that will require motor to run anticlockwise and does not pump. lt only pumps when the motor runs clockwise and the pump running wrong direction.
