    I can only comment on ball valves. Hole faces upstream. Theory being that if it is facing upstream the pressure acts on the inside of the ball and will increase sealing forces. Other way round tends to lead to more leaks (in our experience)

    There is an ABEC classification for bearings. ABEC 1, ABEC 3, ABEC 5. I think this just governs the tolerances that the bearings are built to rather than the type. Ask a kid on rollerblades or on a skateboard! They know all about the bearings in their skates and their classifications!

    I don't think the flowrate is criticial. What you need is a positive pressure. A slight positive nitrogen pressure will prevent the ingress of O2. Your flowrate will be driven by the total leakage from your system. Usually controlled by a regulator or self regulating PCV.

    I doubt you will find one that small. The size of the pump jack is related to the stroke of the downhole pump.

    sounds like an off the shelf jetting/jet wash/pressure wash package. Sounds silly but if you are looking for portability, try your local hardware store, most will be electric so couple it with a portable generator
