I work for a company that design mobile satellite positioners. We have a customer that is insisting we use a latch for their hardware cases that can be set in position during unpacking and stay in position (friction or detents). Typically we use latches that are spring loaded to hold the hooks...
STEP or IGES works. That's the brake that I'm using.
Yeah, I found some IS PDF's on the Hayes site and some really good overhaul and service parts manuals on the SRAM site, but no caliper info. I'll swap a model/print of my adapter for the caliper model.
Bottoming out the suspension would more likely cause the rim to flat-spot not taco. To taco a wheel the force would have to be applied normal to the rim x-section and not radially.
With the mtb industry moving toward 29ers I'd think that the rim mfgr would be optimizing the x-sections of 29er's for the higher moments that can be applied. Stan's website says their 29er rim has been optimized using FEA.

I'm delving into a new realm of mechanical joints and need help selecting a fastening system. Who makes a good fastener for joining carbon fiber laminates to steel or aluminum structures? I somewhat familiar with the Huck system, but would like other suggestions.
I know that you can create a section of one part in an assembly, but is there a way to omitt an component from an assembly cross section? I've been away from Pro/E for about 2 years and my skills are a little rusty.
Unfortunately no. The plate is really a standard sprocket for a stamping supplier and the quantities that are required are too low to invest in new tooling. The spacers are going to be used as offsets for the sprocket. I don't want to get into tacking all the spacers on the sprocket and a...
I need to weld 6 bushings to a plate and projection welding appears to be the most cost effective solution. My problem is I cannot find bushings that are commercially available, and I'm not exactly sure how to design the bushing for this process. Can anyone suggest a vendor or advise on the...

I didn't know that this product was out there. I knew that you can buy reducers which is what I am trying to make. I can get the reducers made on a Mazak at work for nothing.
I have an old mtn bike that has 1-1/4" headset. I need to put a new fork on it so I'm making reducers for 1-1/8" headset; however, I don't have the measurements for what the ID of the 1-1/8 headtubes. Can anyone supply me with a dimension?
Thanks,
