Finally, I found the 2D Model and Detail buttons under the Tables tab at the top. So I can use these now but when transferring the view to the working sheet I have trouble controlling the scale.

When I go back to Sheet 1 I cannot find the "Sketching tab" nor of course the subset "Drawing views". When I click the bottom tab and go back to 2D Model I do not get the "cross-wire" cursor. I tried to copy and paste back to the Sheet 1 but it does not work.

Thanks for that input but that tutorial is not included with the version I have-"Solid Edge 2D Drafting ST3-Draft" It does not appear to have the features covered by that tutorial either. Also, the Help contents seem to go with a more complete version of the software than the one I have.

Sorry, that doesn't help. My ST3 version (2D) has 3 tutorials: one for making electrical schematics, one for using the calculation features and one for creating 2D drawings. Since I am drawing a mechanical contraption, I did the last one and it does not cover the manipulation of drawing views...
