I have also tried the copy paste method and it does not work with any of the MS Office applications or Notepad. I used Plug-ins -> Tools -> Excel Utilities and it worked fine.
May be you can start by using an elasto-plastic material model to simulate the tensile behaviour of the epoxy. If its brittle, VCCT may be used for crack propagation.
Define ALE mesh domain in STEP module ; Other -> ALE Adaptive Mesh Domain -> Manager. Then several options for the ALE meshing can be set from Other -> ALE Adaptive Mesh Controls -> Manager.
The use of cohesive modelling depends on what you want to model. There has been lot of modelling work regarding adhesive joints. What specific questions you have?
Its not supported in Abaqus/CAE. Please consult "4.1.1 Output" of Abaqus Analysis User's Manual for syntax of stiffness matrix output request in input file.
I suppose you are using Abaqus. The problem is what the error says that Heat transfer elements cannot be used in a static analysis or stress analysis. Change your element type.
What methodology you are using for crack propagation? Looks like XFEM or CZM. Do you need to model damage evolution? I suppose you can find the answers in Abaqus analysis users manual.
Hi
What's the aim of your simulation? Do you want to model damage and failure using cohesive zone elements? How are you going to find the cohesive element properties? More details would help.
