Thank you sir, so for attached set up, the rotation should be the one shown on pump name plate(shown as red arrow)? And can we say we have suction lift here?10. ROTATION The M-Range of Industrial pumps is suitable for rotation in either direction, i.e. flow direction out either of the pump flanges. The bearing housing direction plate indicates the resultant flow path dependent on mainshaft rotation direction. Pump flow curves also indicate flow direction. NOTE: It is recommended product flow is directed out the “end cover” (opposite drive end) side of the pump in applications where: • Pressure above 10 bar is required (dependant on pump capabilities) • No suction lift is required. For Suction lift applications, delivery must be on gland.
Hi Pierreick,Hi,
Check the manual and or ring the manufacturer.
Why will it be different from the past, your pump has been running for quite a while?
Weird to me.
Pierre
Sorry but this makes no sense. It says it doesn't pump in either direction?Hi Pierreick,
we modified the pump currently so as to have suction on the drive side. The pump is pump is working perfectly fine, as we tried the direction as per nameplate, but it didnt pump. We then reversed the pump direction and it didnt pump. So l am just questioning why it only pumps when we run it opposite to manufacture's guideline. Thanks
Hi. There is no NRV, but thanks, l contacted the supplier, they assume their plates were incorrectly labelled, it should run anticlockwise looking from the drive sideWhat is your connection? A non return valve maybe in the wrong place?
yes we didDid you swap the inlet /outlet pipework when you changed direction?
true, such a big company. Find attached the pump curve they provided, showing anticlowise direction vs nameplate direction, clockwiseWell, it would not be the first time I've seen a manufacturer wrongly labeling something.
