Can someone help me designing drop down fire escape stairs please ?

It would help a lot if you can share some structural details.

Pretty sure most modern codes no longer allow those? There may be something in local codes that let you do it, but unless it's restoring existing ones I'm pretty sure those or a no go nowadays.

Thank you for your reply.

It's requested by the architect for a project in Africa.

He needs external stairs to be used only in case of emergency and leave enough space for acces below.
