Is it that easy to import pro-e into 3d studio max ?

We usually try to bring in assemblies first, but sometimes if the parts are touching or overlapping it doesnt work so we have to bring in individual parts and re-assemble Not sure what you are doing wrong, I do the Pro/E and another guy here does the rendering (and actually my boss doesnt...

Is it that easy to import pro-e into 3d studio max ?

Yup its that easy, just bring it in as an stl and you can manipulate it just like any other object. Apply all textures and finishes in 3DS, not Pro/E MM http://www.txsdesign.com/

Could it be done by a hole tool?

Got this message from your link You don't have permission to access /forum/attachments/month_0502/untitled_R9KgEUbyqWBF.jpg on this server. I think that you could make a curve by intersection with a datum that runs through it, then you could pick up the curve. MM http://www.txsdesign.com/

Does any one have any experience with these computers? I am considering a desktop from them and trying to find any good/bad opinions of them. Really interested in customer service after the sale, espically in the case of warranty work. Thanks MM http://www.txsdesign.com/

Beginner - grouping features in Wildfire

Highlight the features first then the option will become visible. You can also do it in the model tree, highlight the features then right mouse button , group will be in the pop up menu. MM http://www.txsdesign.com/

    Drawing paths

Sorry.... save a copy. Yes it will only save the drawing as a new drawing, that is why I said to rename the model first (only in session, or in a dummy directory). Basically.. 1) Rename models with your drawings in session. This causes the drawings to look for the renamed model. 2)Save the...

    Drawing paths

If that doesnt work for multiple drawings you can open all the drawings and keep them in session. Then rename the model (dont save as). Use the "in session" not "in session and on disk" you dont want to overwrite your originals! Do a "save as" on the drawings and they will point to the...

    newbie counterbore question

Change your hole type in the drop down box from simple to sketched, then draw the hole profile as if it was a revolve (all entities on same side of centerline). You can also save the sketch to use later. MM http://www.txsdesign.com/
