    AC servo motor grounding problem

Dear All, I have to give out more information about our moving robot. It runs on a two-wheel drive module, and is operated on two 25Amp-hr, 12V sealed lead-acid batteries. A DC/AC inverter is used to generate a single phase AC source. The drive module is driven by two Panasonic 3-phase AC...

    Moving robot grounding problem

Hi jbartos, Thank you very much for your suggestion. However, if I grounded the AC servo drivers and motors (and also the DC/AC inverter) to the metal chassis, would I violated the code of pactice for Electrical Saftey? As from the principle of electrical safety, AC operated equimpment should be...

    AC servo motor grounding problem

Hi All, We are now building a two-wheel robot and have constructed a locomotion module by using two Panasonic 3-phase AC servo motors. Could anyone tell me the servo motors and its drivers should be grounded to the chassis or to be completely insulated? Your answer could be a big help to us. Thanks.
