The problem was the pipe fitter didn't read it that was and assumed the dimension was face of flange to backside of weldolet. This is despite haveing the complete drawing with fully dimensioned plan and elevation views showing the same dimension as face of flange to center of pipe. and of...
Does the orientation of a valve on an isometric tell the installer/fabricator which direction the valve handle is to be oriented (horizontal or vertical)?
Dimensions on an isometric. Are they ALWAYS taken as center of pipe, unless otherwise noted? Even if the dimension and pipe are in...
Shenderson17 - That would be great.
I was at AU2007 and attended a couple of class on P&ID. They made it sould easy to replace thier blocks with your own. But it didn't sould easy to assign all the data to and existing P&ID by beaing able to select a pump block and click a button to tell P&ID...
Assumption: He does not have permission to have a copy of these drawings.
Perhapse before bring this to management you should ask him if he feels the use of these drawings is ethical, or appropiate.
Would it be any better if the drawings in question held the came content but bore no company logo?
further. I did a quick search on google for "autocad block count" and came across this web site
http://www.jefferypsanders.com/autolisp_blocks.html
I have not used this LISP, and do not know if it will do exactly what you want, but it sound close to what the "bcount" express tool does.
If it's block your inserting into you drawing for components, and you know there in there only once for any given part, you could use autocad's "bcount" command to count the number of time a block appears.
As Tcarpenter1 says, there is a steeing in the options to set a default printer, but It has NEVER worked for me. I created a LISP reactor to verify the printer to be used is my correct one, and if not it will set it to be the correct printer. (AutoCAD really should be able to do this on it own...
CADWorx by Coade is another option. They have several pagkages, and their 3d piping can export to Caesar (also by Coade) for stress analysis. The basic piping package (add-on for autocad) is $4500 USD
you can get more info on it at http://www.codecad.com/CADWorx.htm
