What type of green glass is it??? Do you start with frit or cullet glass. and what temps are you at. I am interested in what you call bubble blocks? is it a bubbler system of some type to remove seeds.
actually its aluminasilicate glass. when we refine this glass its at a temp of 2600 F. its a very high temp glass almost like borosilicate. does the temp of 2600 make a difference
does anyone know the pulling temp of alumina silicate glass. when we pull the glass seems to be very thick and full of airlines. we are pulling from a crucible that holds about 90#s of glass cullet. and we cant seem to get the defects out
we area actually pulling the glass from a furnace with a orfice and a puller at the other end. pulling about 8lbs per min. the kiln temp is about 2100f . for the pull but the tubing we are pulling is very bowed
does anyone know how to get the "BOW" out of glass tubing when pulling...Im pulling a very soft lead glass into tubes about .154 diameter and i cant seem to get the bow out of the rod . any hints??????
