    I totally agree with statement that area needs to be sprinklered , just don't get where architects or AHJ think if you rock bottom of trusses with we can eliminate sprinkler protection above. I think that next thread has same question..

    I've seen office building where they attached drywall to trusses, fire stopped and they did not put sprinklers above. I guess AHJ was making they own rules or am I missing something here :)

    I have a beamed ceiling and the inspector wants to have a head in each pocket (see picture) Would this pockets be defined as ceiling pockets ( 100 cubic feet rule) ? beams area 8"x8". Thanks...

    Detached Porte Cochere

    It is for 4 story residential building. Porte cochere is at front and it is detached about 2 feet from the building. Costumer is asking from us to prove to him (code section) that sprinklers are not required there. Thanks,
