Anyone out there having any issues with Release 2 of Server 2003 service pack 2 ?? Currently this is what SW has to say about it:
As of January 31st, 2007, the testing of SolidWorks products on Windows Server 2003 R2 was still in process. Therefore at this time the performance of SolidWorks...

Also note that with a large vault, the more you use Projects in your vault the faster PDM Workgroup will work access the vault data. This is recommended in most of the documentation.

Has anyone else had a problem with opening pdfs generated from SolidWorks with programs other than Adobe? We have Myriad and AutoVue here, and both have a major issue opening these pdfs, but Adobe is fine. AutoVue is set to be our systems main viewing software and markup utility.

I noticed this after having two vaults, or changing where the vault was. After updating to SP3.1 it's back to normal.

I was planning on using the search yesterday, but it was under maintenance. And I was frustrated enough, that I had to start the thread. It's tough, when people that know it all, don't....go figure?
Thanks,

I know, and even if you don't believe it, the effort required to stop the service before install/upgrade is about 15 seconds. So, it shouldn't even be an arguement.
Listen to them, always shut it off!

I just took the exam last week and passed with a 91%. You need 80% for a customer, the VARs need 90%. The exam is also going into an overhaul this summer I hear, not sure exactly how it will change.
Onto the benefits to the company. If you're like me, it adds some credibility when you have...
